My adoration for producing functional objects out of clay has been passed to me down from my Italian grandmother Diane Okon. It was not until I first took ceramics in high school that I understood the comfort found in being able to create useful vessels with my own two hands. With relearning how to throw various dish ware items on the wheel, I have begun filling my home with bright, practical pottery.
